More Letter Writing
Each student will choose a book that he or she has read and really enjoyed. Everyone will type a letter, addressed to their teacher, that tells why they recommend this book. You will use the ReadWriteThink letter template that you have used in the past. Every letter should include the following:
- Dear Ms. Green or Ms. Gannon
- The title of your favorite book and the name of the author
- Type this sentence and finish this sentence with your own words: "I think you should read this book because __________________________________________."

Everyone (except for 3 students) has a User Name that is: firstnamelastname (no spaces, all lower case!). Everyone has the same Password: titans. Introduction to Mathletics
Today, I introduced Mathletics to 2nd grade. Everyone had the opportunity to login with their individual user name and password, create their own avatar and start playing math games. They worked on counting by 5's and by 10's, choosing which number is bigger and smaller and practiced counting using blocks of 100, 10 and 1.
