Creating Timelines

A timeline is a list of events placed in the order in which they took place.  Today, everyone will create a timeline of the important events that happened during your 2nd Grade year at Holy Trinity School.  I will provide you with a list of ideas that you may use on your timeline, however, you may use different special events for your timeline (you don't have to use the ones from my list).  Begin by including the following information:

1. Title:  John's 2nd Grade at HTS (type YOUR name)
2. Number of Events:  You must include at least 8 events.  You may include up to 11 events.\
3. Enter the Event Date:  Include the Month, the date (if it is important) and the year.
4. Enter the Event Description (what happened on the date or during that month).

Poetry!

Today, we will be creating a Color Poem.  You will begin by choosing a color and then filling out the Y Chart in pencil.  This will help you brainstorm ideas for your color poem.  When you are finished with your Y Chart, you will open the Color Poem template on the computer (make sure you click on YOUR name).  Use your imagination and be creative with your poem.  When you are finished, I will show you how to change the font color so that it is the same as the color you selected for your poem.  I can't wait to see your finished poems!
